Selena Quintanilla-Perez, or better known as just Selena, was a Hispanic-American singer in the late 20th century. During her very brief career, she was a singer, songwriter, model, actress, and fashion designer. For her contributions to the music industry, she is often referred to as The Queen of Tejano music.
Selena originally debuted her career as the lead member of her family’s band Selena y Los Dinos. In her teens, she played all over Texas and even won numerous awards for her musical abilities. In the early 90s, Selena released numerous singles and even won a Grammy award for her work.
In the 90s, Selena launched her cosmetics line with MAC Cosmetics. This cosmetics line became the best-selling celebrity cosmetics line in all of history. Selena seemed to have it all at such a young age. That was, until, a jealous fan took that all away.
