It has been over one year since the tragic murder of a Black EMT worker named Breonna Taylor. Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police officers during a no-knock raid on her apartment.

Breonna’s death sparked nationwide outrage among people from all walks of life. They saw her death as yet another casualty of police brutality and the lack of organization of our police departments.

Over the last year, the United States has seen riots and protests in response to Breonna’s avoidable death. However, little to no justice has been served in this case.

Who Was Breonna Taylor?

Breonna Taylor was a twenty-six-year-old woman that was filled with joy and happiness.

Breonna lived in Louisville, Kentucky with her beloved boyfriend. She worked as an EMT operator in the area to support her family and help put food on the table. Although she worked as an EMT operator, she loved helping people and felt a sense of reward in doing so.

Breonna died tragically on March 13th in her apartment after being fatally shot five times.
